In-person disability examinations
A licensed provider examines you and documents the conditions listed for review. This is the exam most Veterans mean when they say C&P.
Disability evaluations
Disability evaluations for Veterans, through a nationwide network of providers and our own clinics. Doing this since 2013.
What we do
Everything we do supports one thing: an accurate, evidence-based record of a Veteran's condition. Some of that work happens face to face and some of it happens in the file.
We are not replacing your doctor and we will not prescribe or treat. If you are a Veteran with an appointment, it was scheduled for you and sent to us, and there is nothing to pay.
We examine you honestly and write down what we find. If anyone tells you they can sway how your claim turns out, walk away. That is not how this works.

This one runs on Acceptable Clinical Evidence, meaning the records you already have, so there is no visit. Usually a provider phones you to cover what the file does not. If the records answer everything, there is no call either.
A written clinical opinion on a specific question, produced by a provider with the right specialty and no stake in the outcome.
A structured read of the existing record to establish what it does and does not support, documented so the findings can be relied on.
Every clinic is open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, every day of the week.

For agencies and contracting partners
Patriot Care Center works as a clinical partner to government agencies and contractors running disability evaluation programs. The point of the way we are set up is that the thousandth case reads like the first one.

Nobody tells you much before one of these. If anything here does not answer it, call the clinic and ask us. However small the question, we are glad to talk it through.
No. There is nothing to pay, and we will never ask you for a card or an insurance number. If anyone asks you for money for a compensation and pension exam, something is wrong.
Most exams take under an hour. If several conditions are on the list it can run longer, and whoever checks you in will tell you what to expect that day.
Yes. Bring your spouse, a friend, or whoever helps you keep track of things. They can wait with you, and plenty of people do exactly that.
Sometimes not. If your records cover enough ground it becomes an ACE examination, which means no visit at all. Usually a provider phones you to go over what the file does not show, and if the records answer everything there is no call either. If you already have an appointment booked, that one is in person.
No. Bring a photo ID and that is enough. You are welcome to bring paperwork if you want to, but nothing is going to be held against you for turning up without it.
Call the clinic directly. We are open seven days a week, so there is usually another slot the same week rather than a month out.
No, and neither does anyone else in this building. The VA decides. We examine you and send them what we found, and that is where our part ends.
Not usually from us. The report belongs to the file it was requested for, so it goes back to whoever asked for the exam. The VA can tell you how to request a copy.
Still not sure about something? Call (310) 954-1008 and someone will help. You are not bothering anyone by asking.
Bring a photo ID. You are welcome to bring records but you do not need to, and there is nothing to pay.
Someone at the front desk checks you in and confirms your details. We run on time, and if we are running behind, someone will come and tell you why.
A licensed provider goes through your history and examines the conditions on the list. Just answer honestly. Nothing here is a test and nothing is a trick question.
We write up what we found and send it on. You will not usually get a copy from us, because the report belongs to the file it was requested for.
